West Ashley High School Dismissing Early Today
Charleston, SC — Students at West Ashley High began dismissal at 1:30 p.m. today due to issues with the school’s air conditioning units stemming from this morning’s power outage.
Although power was restored around 10:00 a.m., the temperature in classrooms continued to climb throughout the day.
Out of an abundance of caution to protect occupant health, well-being, and safety, it was decided that dismissing students early would be the best course of action.
