Hootie & the Blowfish Homegrown Roundup: "Back 2 School Basics"

Who: Media outlets are welcomed and encouraged to attend as local students come together to receive services and school supplies for the 2016-2017 school year provided by Hootie & the Blowfish and various community partners.

What: Join us for the 10th Annual Hootie & the Blowfish Homegrown Roundup that will provide essential services and back-to-school supplies for approximately 1,600+ local students. Examples of services and supplies to be provided include: haircuts, dental exams, eye exams, backpacks, shoes, uniforms, and basic school supplies.

The Roundup will serve the needs of the following schools: Burns Elementary, Chicora Elementary, Mary Ford Elementary, Lambs Elementary, Midland Park Elementary, Pepperhill Elementary, Angel Oak Elementary, Mt. Zion Elementary, Springfield Elementary, E.B. Ellington Elementary, James Simons Elementary, and Sanders Clyde Elementary.

When: Saturday, August 6, 2016, Homegrown Roundup, 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.;Media Call 12:45 p.m.; Hootie & The Blowfish On-Site Media Availability, 1:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. including Darius Rucker, Mark Bryan, James “Soni” Sonefeld, and Dean Felber.
