CCSD Appoints New Interim Director of Food Services
Charleston, SC — Charleston County School District (CCSD) is proud to announce the appointment of Frank Manigault as the new Interim Director of Food Services. Previous to his new appointment, Manigault has served as a Nutrition Services Supervisor in the District.
A decade ago, Nutrition Services managed the federal programs for breakfast, lunch and summer meals. Now, the department oversees not only those federal programs, but also coordinates the Mid-Morning Snack Program, the Fresh Fruits and Vegetables Program, and the Head Start and Early Head Start Meals Program, as well as one of the largest supper programs in the state. Manigault brings with him a wealth of talent and experience that will assist the Food Services Department in meeting its growing needs.
After fifteen years as Assistant Director of Food Services for the South Carolina Department of Corrections, Manigault joined CCSD in 2001 as the cafeteria manager at Pepperhill Elementary School. In 2007, he was hired as a Nutrition Services Supervisor, a position he held for the past nine years. His expertise and leadership have assisted Nutrition Services in meeting the expanding needs of the children and families of Charleston County School District, and will continue to do so in an even greater capacity in his new position.

In addition to his new responsibilities, Manigault will continue to supervise his current schools which include: Angel Oak, Ashley River Creative Arts, Baptist Hill, Drayton Hall, E.B. Ellington, Frierson, Haut Gap, Jane Edwards, Minnie Hughes, Mt. Zion, Oakland, Springfield, St. Andrews Math and Science, St. John’s High, Stono Park/Carolina Voyager, West Ashley Advanced Studies Magnet, and Garrett Academy.
