All CCSD Schools Open Now Post-Hurricane Matthew
Charleston, SC — Charleston County School District will be able to welcome back all students tomorrow, Wednesday, October 12, 2016.
This now includes Minnie Hughes Elementary at its regular start time. The reopening of E.B. Ellington and West Ashley Head Start was announced earlier today.
Starting tomorrow, CCSD will provide the opportunity for students from Jane Edwards to be bused to Minnie Hughes for instruction by their regular teachers each day this week. Bus routes and pick-up times for Jane Edwards students will remain the same. We ask for your assistance and understanding while we transport students to Minnie Hughes temporarily. We also stress, “temporarily,” because we do understand students need to be in their own school. Repairs to the school are ongoing and will be completed as soon as possible.
Again, we look forward to welcoming all of our students back tomorrow.
