February is CTE Month 2/01/2013

February is CTE Month!

February is Career and Technical Education (CTE) Month! Did you know that high school students involved in CTE are more engaged, perform better and graduate at higher rates? Each week in February, we will highlight something special about the people (and places) in our district working to prepare our students for college and careers.

Our district has six CTE teachers who have been recognized by their schools as Teacher of the Year this year. They represent programs in Culinary Arts and Business & Marketing. These teachers demonstrate just a few of the programs that CTE encompasses. Their passion and dedication to teaching are exemplified through the broad spectrum of opportunities they provide to their students. They are better preparing thousands of students for workforce and post secondary opportunities.

We celebrate and honor these distinguished Teachers of the Year who were elected by their peers for exemplifying excellence!
