CCSD's 2011 Parent information Fair
About the 2011 Parent Information Fair
Charleston County School District's (CCSD's) 2011 Parent Information Fair will be held on Saturday, October 22 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Burke High School. Come meet the providers of free tutoring available under No Child Left Behind or learn about the portfolio of school offerings available to your family!
Under No Child Left Behind, if a child is enrolled at one of the specified schools and the child receives free or reduced lunch, he or she may remain at the school and receive Supplemental Educational Services (SES) including free tutoring.
Until November 11, 2011, the district will accept applications for free tutoring for qualifying students. Learn more about SES services, including the application process and the designated schools for the 2011-2012 academic year.
At the 2011 Parent Information Fair, parents can meet directly with the service providers to learn more about the tutoring options available to their families.
School Choice & CCSD's Vast Array of Offerings
Did you know that in addition to neighborhood schools with assigned attendance zones, CCSD offers dynamic choices, including specialized programs, magnets, and charter schools? Most of these schools will begin their application process for the 2012-2013 school year beginning October 20. Most schools have an application deadline of Friday, December 2, 2011.
The 2011 Parent Information Fair is the ideal opportunity to meet directly with the leaders, students, and parents of these schools. Families can learn about the options first-hand and may receive and complete applications.
